19th Century Queen Victoria Empress of India Ascension Banner.

£365.00

An extremely rare and scarce survivor this Victorian hand printed banner was likely manufactured to celebrate Queen Victorias ascension to the role of Empress of India in 1877.

At over 14 ft long in its current form it would have been used for hanging from a building of state to celebrate the occasion.

In very good condition with only minor marks to the material & evidence of having been cut down from an even larger section.

Width: 62 cm
Length: approx 14ft.
