1954 Oak Air Ministry Bookcase by Staverton for the Crown Suppliers. Vintage/Retro/Mid Century

A stunning example of these superb Bookcases/Storage Cabinets made by Staverton Furniture Makers, by order of the Crown Suppliers, for the Air Ministry. This particular example was actually made by Moss Partners and stamped with ‘ER’ on the reverse, by order of Queen Elizabeth II in 1954, shortly after she took the throne.

Free standing and made from Oak, this fantastic piece has five separate sections each with its own roll top door. Each section is divided into three compartments for display or storage of any manner of wares. Offered in good vintage condition, this unit is strong and sturdy and ready for a new home.

We have a two of these units available, the other is on a separate listing and is a slightly earlier version from 1952, with subtle differences in design.
